High gas prices tag teamed with the scorching summer months means people are doing clever things to avoid the inevitably notorious next trip to the gas pumps… well so they think.
Driving around on the busy California freeways, I have noticed that quite a few people have been driving around with their windows down. Now, it is no secret that using the air conditioner in your car comes at the expense of decreased gas mileage. But, the question is, are you really saving gas? When should you drive with the windows down vs. up with the air conditioner on if ever? What about when you are driving in the city at 40MPH vs. the highway at 70MPH?
Well here is the answer which some of you may be surprised by. Driving with the windows down while at highway speeds actually DECREASES your gas mileage! Yeah, you heard right, decreases! Why? Well because when you drive with the windows down at those highway speeds, you are introducing quite a bit of drag into the MPG equation. What does drag mean? Well in this situation, drag is caused by air outside flowing into your vehicle and because of that, making it more difficult for your vehicle to move forward. Imagine trying to run against a 70MPH wind. With your windows closed, your vehicle can retain it’s aerodynamics and literally slice through the air with less resistance.
What about at city speeds, say 40MPH on average? Well, in that situation, rolling the windows down vs. using the air conditioner may be to your advantage. The amount of gas you burn in the city by rolling down your windows is less than the amount of gas burned by using your air conditioner.
Granted, when driving short distances, either windows down or air conditioner on will make only make marginal differences. But, across longer drives, choosing the correct option can yield a trip to the pump later rather than sooner.
I hope this saves you a few bucks. Be sure to let everyone know! Who knows, if enough people start doing their part to be more efficient, we might be able to see gas price stability!

So earlier this morning, I received several complaints on AIM about this website throwing all kinds of spam popups, spyware warnings, and general malicious crap. I looked at the website and what do you know, virus notifications, and spyware galore.
Needless to say, it’s all taken care of now thanks to the prompt and courteous response by my web host. Now I remember why I reccomend the host to all my friends and clients
Thanks for the jolly good time hackers, good show. I suppose it’s a right of passage though and confirms that this website has quite a reach.
Oh well, shit happens. Until next time…

So these are just the opening thoughts on some soon to be ranting. What’s the deal with models, specifically Pinays? Seems like all these Filipino girls are the ones that are REALLY whoring themselves to “get known.” And by “whoring” I really do mean WHORING.
Have you girls ever thought of doing other things with your life besides taking your clothes off? You know what the sad part is about you Pinay import whores? YOU DON’T MAKE MONEY! That’s right, you’d be better off walking the streets instead of “modeling” at carshows. If you are doing it for the attention, jeez get a grip.
Ok more to come later. Just had to get that off my chest.
P.S. I have nothing against Filipinos, their country, their culture, etc. It’s just that Pinays seem to be at the center of the whore import modeling industry.

So you think you got some pretty big lips on your wheels? Check this:

Pretty intense right? Except the lip on the rear is too intense for my personal taste. Even I have phases with my wheel lips when I think it’s too much but at least I think I am just borderline crazy good/crazy bad.
Jeez!

So, I am wondering if these $4.00 gas prices are affecting your driving habits. Are you driving less now? Are you combining your errands into as little trips as possible? What are you doing to save gas, or do you not care until gas hits $4.50 or $5.00?
This is a serious question for you all, please comment with your thoughts on gas prices and how they are affecting your daily routines if at all.
Personally, I find myself driving less and combining my errands into as few trips as possible. Meaning, if I have to go to several banks, the grocery store, and hardware store, I would probably tackle all that at once and not come back and forth between home and errands. Before, I didn’t really care and would do as much as I could with the time that was available. Meaning, lets say I only had enough time that day to go to the grocery store and 1 bank but not the second bank and the hardware store. Well, now, I would probably consider going the next day instead and doing everything at once instead of going back and forth from home and wasting gas.
So let’s hear it, what’s your story?

DaTruth… all I need to say is that I love this guy’s (or gal’s) blog! No one seems to know who this person is. You can’t do a WHOIS because the blog is hosted on a public blogging service not a personal server–SMART!
But, in any case, big thumbs up to you for being the ultimate badass!

Happy spring, folks. I’ve come out of my winter hibernation, finally, and the first post of the year goes out to the hard working ladies… I mean, “models,” of the import scene. Yes… those who spend hours on makeup, hair, attire, shaving their armpits / legs / pussy and, in some cases, their faces to present themselves to the world at large. It’s amazing to me how some of these “modeling” websites would waste storage space in their solid state CF cards to shoot these bow wows. Without further delay, enjoy this lovely gallery courtesy of Pure [Not] Hot Models!

So I went to Macy’s today for their 1 day sale, and I must say, it was a great sale. I picked up a couple $130 jackets for an average savings of 70% and a Guess dress shirt for 86% off!
Anyways, now its time for the kicker…while I was in line, I was checking out these cool looking tie clips because I need a new one for a couple big family functions coming later this year. I flipped the box over to see the price and guess what the label said?
MADE IN CHINA
LEAD FREE
I just found it amusing that made in China products are now being labeled as lead free. Where was this warning before? Has it always been ok to harm our younger brothers, sisters, cousins, children, etc. with the lead paint on their toys? I cringe every time I see little kids putting their toys in their mouths.
Or maybe China thought it was ok to lace toothpaste with chemical(s) found in antifreeze. Remember that story from last year?
Way to go China, way to go… the sad part is that you cannot and should not blame China 100% for this issue. It also comes back around to these companies who (sometimes) knowingly do business with these unscrupulous factories in China with sub par standards just to save some money and in the process endanger human lives.
Oh well, what else is new right? This is the global economy we are apart of. I wish I did get a picture of that price label on the bottom though, it sure was a good laugh!
